Water Shut Down Notice - Cookstown

Time: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Impacted Area: Selby Street, King Street South & Empress Lane - Cookstown
Reason: Necessary watermain repairs
There will be a temporary shutdown to water service in the vicinity of Selby Street, King Street South and Empress Lane, Cookstown while operations staff conduct necessary watermain repairs. The shutdown will take place on Thursday, July 31, 2025 between 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. Impacted customers have been notified via hand delivered notices.
IMPORTANT: During this time customers will not have access to water. It is advised to fill containers ahead of time to have extra water on hand during this time.
When water is restored, you may experience air in plumbing or discoloration in water. We would recommend that you refrain from water consumption activities until any discolouration is gone (for example doing laundry). Run your cold water taps for a few minutes to flush out any sediment which may have accumulated within your water service line and any air trapped in the line.
