Alcona Zone 3 Booster Pumping Station 

Municipal Class Environmental Assessment

InnServices Utilities Inc. completed a Master Servicing Plan (MSP) update in 2018 which identified short and long-term strategies for water and wastewater servicing to accommodate the population and employment growth outlined in the Innisfil Official Plan (2018). The MSP determined that there is a need for a new pressure zone in Alcona North to accommodate planned growth, as the existing Alcona BPS has limited capacity within Alcona Pressure Zone 2. As part of this process a new Zone 3 BPS would be required to pump water from a new trunk watermain on the 9^th Line, which is proposed to increase watermain capacity between the Lakeshore Water Treatment Plant and the Alcona Reservoir. InnServices has retained the Ainley Group to complete and document a Schedule B Municipal Class Environmental Assessment to determine a suitable location for the proposed new Zone 3 Booster Pumping Station. 

The study area is located in the vicinity of 9th Line and 20th Sideroad as illustrated on the accompanying map. The Notice of Study Commencement was issued on August 4, 2022.

Public consultation is a key component of the Class EA process. InnServices will be holding a Public Information Centre (PIC) for this project. Please find all relevant details below.

Information collected will be used in accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. With the exception of personal information, all comments will become part of the public record.
