Think Before You Flush

Many items that we use on a daily basis cannot go down our toilets or drains. Even those labelled "flushable" can cause major problems.

Flushing inappropriate household items can clog homeowner and municipal sewer pipes and put stress on community waste water and collection treatment equipment. This can cause thousands of dollars in repairs to both the homeowner and municipality, ultimately impacted the sewer charges that you pay!

Avoid Flushing:
  • Any Wipes (even 'flushable" ones)
  • Paper Towels and Tissues
  • Fats, Oils, and Grease
  • Medications
  • Diapers
  • Menstrual Products
  • Condoms
  • Hygiene Products (Floss, Cotton Pads, etc.)
  • Cat Litter
  • Hair

When in Doubt, Throw it Out!
